What to Expect

Your First Chiropractic Visit
We’ll ask that you first fill out some paperwork to get you in our system. You’ll then be brought back and have vitals taken. Dr. Anderson will come in and speak to you. We’ll do a report of findings to determine when your pain started, where it’s located, and if there are any underlying symptoms that need to be addressed. Here’s what you can expect next:
- Muscle, orthopedic, and some neurologic testing will be performed. We want to see what’s going on neurologically if there’s some balance disorder. We focus on a person’s balance at the first visit.
- We will do some palpation of the area to see where the most inflamed areas are.
- X-rays will be taken if necessary as we want to make sure everything is stable in that segment or if there’s anything we’re concerned about. Afterward, we’ll go over the X-rays.
- You will have a bit of therapy to relax your spine or to get some mobility into a segment so Dr. Anderson can perform a chiropractic adjustment before you leave.
Your Second Visit
Ideally, we’ll see you the next day or the day after that because Dr. Anderson wants to find out how you responded to your first visit. You’ll go right into an adjustment room and will spend a bit of time talking first. We’ll have you go through some motions to see if you have any changes. You’ll be asked how you’re feeling.
Subsequent Visits
After the second and third visit, we’ll have a good gauge of how you’re doing. Dr. Anderson will set up a certain amount of times you’ll see him. It could be once a week, a few times a week or three times a week depending on the severity of your injury.
Nurse Practitioner Visits
You can call and set up an appointment with the nurse practitioner, you will have a little bit of paperwork to fill out. She offers many natural pain relief options such as Cellular Therapy, Natural Injections, Acute Care.
